Power Perk Agricultural Minerals

Power Perk is a liquid product that is registered as an agricultural mineral and a soil conditioner. While it has many uses, it works by greatly enhancing the oxidation and reduction cycle. It has been used extensively in agricultural and construction, and on golf courses as a soil conditioner to correct and / or increase water percolation in clay and saline / solid soils.

Power Perk does three main things for soils and turf:

1. Power Perk reduces the expansion index of clay soils so water can percolate through it. This promotes healthy soil and healthy root development. When roots are healthy, the turf is healthy.

2. Power Perk breaks up black layer that forms beneath the surface of turf shutting off drainage and percolation, and stunting the development of healthy roots.

3. Power Perk oxygenates the soil, greatly multiplying the microbes which are the food source for healthy furf in organic fertilization programs

Power Perk will eliminate anaerobic activity in soils and allow root systems to proliferate. Power Perk contains a special formulation that will increase oxygen contents in soils that will convert anaerobic bacteria to aerobic bacterial. Anaerobic bacteria closes off the oxygen supplies to the roots. As the bacteria counts increase, potentially harmful gases are released and root systems can be damaged, resulting in a black layer forming just beneath the surface of the soil. Once applied to the surface of the soil it becomes a permanent part of the soil, maintaining the high oxygen levels in the soil. Studies have shown that an application of Power Perk releases dormant aerobic bacteria which are then available as nutrients for the plants.

Each time water is applied to the surface of the treated soil, Power Perk continues to correct existing problems as the water migrates further down through the soil. Power Perk reduces the expansion capabilities of clays that close off the migration of water through the soil. It does this by removing the oxygen film that is present on clay. crystals. The oxygen film has a strong attraction for water and will cause the clay particles to make room for the water. The results are indicated as expansion. As the clays convert, becoming more loam like, water moves more freely throughout the soil, allowing roots to properly develop. This also causes salts to be leached away and moisture to be readily available for the plants. Power Perk will also increase the decomposition of organic matter turning it into a natural source of plant food and release the available existing nutrients for the plants consumption. The original treatment of Power Perk will remain as long as proper soil management practices are performed.

The continuous use of synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers cause a build up of salts and eventually close off the soil creating a hostile environment for plant to grow in. However, as the Power Perk continues to react with the soil creating a healthy environment, salts are reduced and nature begins to add natural bacteria that are necessary for strong healthy plants. By practicing proper soil management, using natural herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers, such as OrganiCal's Ever-Rich All Natural Organic Fertilizer, the soil environment will remain healthy and plant yields will increase.

Power Perk is not a fertilizer and does not contain significant amounts of nutrients. However, Power Perk will allow any existing nutrients in the soil to become readily available to the plants. If the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides are to be used after the treatment with Power Perk, care should be taken during application because the soil will become more permeable. Also, additional treatment of the soil with Power Perk will be necessary with one half APC the second and third year.

Application Method:

Application of Power Perk can be made using any equipment that will spray water. Small areas can be treated using a hose end applicator. However, be sure the application rate is a mixture of water and Power Perk is not less than 20-1. Large areas can be treated using a plastic tank. of appropriate size, and a water pump and hoses. Care should also be taken to have the mixture of water and Power Perk at a minimum ration of 21-1.

Because Power Perk is acidic, care should be taken to keep of of organic materials such as: wood, paper, cotton, leather, paint,  etc. Once Power Perk is mixed with water the possibility of damage to organics is reduced. However, the diluted mixture should be rinsed off any vegetation immediately.

Directions For Use:

Mix Power Perk with fresh water at a minimum ration of 21-1 (1 part P/P, 20 part H2O). Always add the water to the Power Perk to insure complete mixing. Apply the mixture of Power Perk and water to the surface of the soil using a standard applicator -i.e.: Plastic pump sprayer or hose end sprayer. Rinse from exiting vegetation immediately after application to avoid burning.

NOTE:  DO NOT USE metal sprayer or those made of polycarbonates or apply through a sprinkler system.

CAUTION: Will dissolve cotton, paper, paint, varnish, leather and all other organic materials.
